Welcome to

Winchester Books Festival

The first Festival will be held from the 21 to 23 April 2023.

The Festival will give access to a range of authors to inspire and promote a love of reading and storytelling. Winchester has a rich historical and literary heritage and remains a thriving cultural city. It has a world-famous cathedral, where Jane Austen, one of the UK’s most famous novelists is buried, and she lived in nearby Chawton and in Winchester itself. Events will take place in key buildings in the city including: the University of Winchester, the Cathedral, Winchester College and the Theatre Royal.

We have a full schedule of events taking place across the City of Winchester.

Tickets will be on sale from 12 noon on 2nd March 2023.
