Event 1: Sarah Vaughan with Rebecca Fletcher

Sarah Vaughan is a bestselling novelist (Anatomy of a Scandal was made into a major Netflix series) with a background as a political journalist. Her new novel, Based on a True Story, explores power, wealth and family ties.

Event 2: Dame Harriet Walter and Dame Vikki Heywood with Greg Mosse

Two authors who have had stellar careers in the arts before publishing books, Dame Harriet Walter and Dame Vikki Heywood, come together for a wide-ranging conversation about lives spent on and around the stage. Reflecting on their remarkable theatrical careers, they will discuss their recently published books and the journeys that led them to write. Vikki Heywood has spent her career in the theatre with roles including Executive Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company and head of the Royal Court Theatre. Harriet Walter is an award-winning actress who won a BAFTA nomination for her role in the hit series Succession and has been seen regularly on our screens in Killing Eve, Ted Lasso, Silo and Brian and Maggie to name a few.

Event 3: Lynda La Plante with Rebecca Fletcher

Crime-writing legend Lynda La Plante will be discussing her new novel, Sacrifice and her memoir, Getting Away with Murder. She’ll share candid stories from her Liverpool childhood to creating iconic TV dramas, offering insight, humour and behind-the-scenes revelations from her groundbreaking career in crime fiction and television.

Event 4: Patrick Gale with Judith Heneghan

Patrick Gale is a bestselling novelist known for his compassionate, character-driven stories. His new book, Love Lane, tracks three generations of a family as a Canadian farmer, Harry Cane, returns to post-war England. The novel weaves themes of reconciliation, secrecy and the quest for belonging. Patrick grew up and went to school in Winchester.
