Sir Tony Robinson | The House of Wolf

Fri 17 Apr 2026 | 8:00pm - 9:00pm

Sir Tony Robinson is one of Britain’s best-loved faces on screen, an award-winning writer, master storyteller, creator of Baldrick in Blackadder, and presenter of Channel 4’s Time Team for 20 seasons.

Now, in conversation with Rebecca Fletcher, Sir Tony will celebrate a life on stage and screen, sharing stories from his extraordinary career, his passion for history, and his thrilling fiction debut The House of Wolf, an epic tale of Alfred the Great and the bloody birth of England.

Blending archaeological insight with brilliant storytelling, Tony reveals the gritty reality behind the legend of Alfred the Great, exploring the lives, politics and power struggles that shaped early England, in the very city where Alfred the Great lived.

Expect behind-the-scenes tales from Time Team, Blackadder and The Worst Jobs in History, plus a chance to ask Tony anything, from writing his first novel at 78 to why Baldrick still gets the biggest laughs.

With a post-talk book signing, this promises an evening of big laughs, vivid history and certainly a cunning plan.
