Two non-fiction writers discuss the healing power of nature with local GP Dr Will Liddell.

Dr Sue Stuart-Smith’s book The Well Gardened Mind was a Sunday Times bestseller. This widely acclaimed and inspirational investigation looks at the powerful effects of gardening on our health and wellbeing. Dr Stuart-Smith is a prominent psychiatrist and psychotherapist, she worked in the National Health Service for many years, becoming the lead clinician in psychotherapy in Hertfordshire. She is married to Tom Stuart-Smith, the celebrated garden designer.

When Charlie Corbett’s mother died, he turned to nature and wildlife to help anchor him at a time of great uncertainty, anxiety and depression. In Twelve Birds to Save Your Life, Charlie shows us there is joy to be found in the very smallest of events. Charlie lives near Pewsey in Wiltshire.
